Several Gamecock Club chapters have had preseason parties and events to kick off the 2017 football season and more are scheduled in advance of the Sept. 2 season-opener against NC State. Here's a look at the upcoming events:
Charlotte Kickoff parties
The Gamecock Club will host two pregame parties and events around the Belk Kickoff Game between South Carolina and NC State on Sept. 2 at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.
The Friday night kickoff party, hosted by the Charlotte Gamecock Club, will be at Flight Beer Garden and Music Hall in Charlotte and will feature music by Patrick Davis. The event is free. The Charlotte Gamecock Club will also show the game Saturday for those not going to Bank of America and will show the South Carolina game every Saturday throughout the season.
The Gamecock Club's pregame tailgate party will be held at Reebok CrossFit at 415-D Mint Street near Bank of America Stadium from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tickets to the pregame party are $50 per person. For more information, call 803-777-4276 or visit thegamecockclub.com.
Greenville bus to Charlotte game
The Greenville County Gamecock Club is inviting all Upstate Gamecock fans to join it on a bus to the NC State Game in Charlotte on Sep. 2.
The bus will depart from the Hilton Hotel parking lot on Haywood Road at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Price to join is $50 per person and includes food and drinks. Additional coolers are welcome.

Washington, DC viewing Party
The Washington, DC Gamecock Club will hold a viewing party for the game at Hawthorne at 1336 U St. NW, Washington, DC 20009. The club will show the game each week at the same location.
Northern Virginia viewing Party
The Northern Virginia Gamecock Club will have a viewing party at Crafthouse, 901 N Glebe Rd #105, Arlington, VA 22203. It will also have the game on at the same location througout the season.
Dallas viewing party
South Carolina alumni and Gamecock fans in the Dallas area are gathering to watch the game at The Nodding Donkey at 2900 Thomas Ave, Dallas, Texas, 75204. Gamecocks fans gather there every Saturday. For more information, contact email@example.com.
